No, REALLY?

This just in from the New York Times: Beijing is polluted! It's a pretty interesting article, but I posted it mostly for the picture - I have seen countless days like this. The smog is worse than the fog in San Francisco on its worst days, and although I think I've adjusted to it in the sense that I no longer physically feel it when I go outside, I'm pretty sure it's responsible for the nagging cough I've had for the last month and a half or so. Also, on the Wednesday they mention in the article about a third of the way down, I specifically remember saying that the pollution was particularly bad. The sun was orange the entire day, and the last time I remember seeing a star I was in Yunnan.
